CLOTHE-A-KID FOR SCHOOL PROJECT

This project is usually conducted during June, July, and August. The goal of this project is to provide a few new school clothes for children in need so they have some nice things to wear when school starts.

Requests and referrals are made to LOVE from other agencies and schools that would like to have children adopted for the Clothea-Kid Project. The child's name, age, sizes, and other information is collected, and then the needs are verified by the LOVE staff as legitimate.

Groups or individuals who wish to "adopt" a child or children are encouraged to supply the following for each child:

• One pair of pants
• two shirts/blouses
• three pairs of socks
• three sets of underwear
• one light jacket

All clothing must be new, but modestly priced. Expensive name brands should be avoided. Practical wash-and-wear items are encouraged.
